mad skillz (today only "skillz") got a recording deal with atlantic records after finishing in second place in an international mc battle in 1992 (losing to mc supernatural).

mad skillz, well known as a ghostwritter has written lot of hit singles for other rappers like p. diddy (well for me diddy's more a business man and party organiser than rapper...me no like)

"from where???" is a great album released on big beat records. the album is produced by jay dee, beatnuts, buckwild and large pro.

my favourite tracks are "nod factor" and "extra abstract skillz" feat q-tip and large pro see clip below.

special ed (edward archer) rapper from the bronx realesed his first album (youngest in charge) on profile records in 1990 with his probably best known song "i got it made".

later he was also member of the crooklyn dodgers and he appeared in some spike lee films (clockers & crooklyn).
